Meeting Needs in Local Community

Give used purses a new purpose! Fill them up and give them to someone in need. Students can host an event at your school. Adults can host an event in their home, a restaurant, their place of worship, etc. Anyone can fill gently used purses for women or drawstring bags for men with items they can use.

We encourage you to "be the change" by filling a gently used purse with personal hygiene items for a woman in need. Drawstring bags are filled for men. Recycled bags are given as a goodwill gesture to bring hope. A great project for any group - young or old!

What to include:

Make sure your donated purse is gently used in good shape (no holes and the zipper still works) and there's nothing inside (no used Kleenex, etc.). Here's ideas of what to put inside:

• Deodorant

• Hand Sanitizer

• Kleenex

• Tampons/Pads

• Toothbrush/Toothpaste

• Hand Lotion

• Bar of soap/Body Wash

• Shampoo/Conditioner

• Lipstick or Chapstick

• Fingernail Clippers

• Nail File
