The Inspiring Life of Ida Kramer

As students head back to school, we announce a new book release entitled

The Inspiring Life of Ida Kramer. This story was written by Rachael Cupp and illustrated by Jasmine Mendez. Both girls did a beautiful job and our community is very pleased.

This story is very special to me since Ida was my Holocaust education mentor. She was one of the first in our local Jewish community to hear about my vision for A BOOK by ME. Ida encouraged me along the way. We "schlepped" all over learning about this important topic from various sources.

You can read more about Ida's story on the Amazon listing for her book since many of our book titles are now available on Amazon. Visit our bookstore at and see a complete listing of book titles available below.

More wonderful news: last spring the the Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities and the Holocaust Education Committee applied for, and received, a generous grant from the Scott County Regional Authority. This allowed the Holocaust Education Committee to distribute 2,900 copies of various books to schools in Scott County this fall. Ida's book is among those chosen for distribution.

Although Ida passed away last January, her name will be remembered as a blessing to thousands of young readers in Iowa this school year.

Honestly, I could not be more pleased.
