

Grandchildren Share Through A BOOK by ME
This week we are targeting grandchildren of Jewish Survivors, WWII Veterans and Righteous Gentiles. Please forward this newsletter to friends at Jewish Federations, schools (publlic schools, private schools, home schools, Hebrew schools), synagogues, churches, VFW, nursing homes, etc. Young Authors are wanted with a special emphasis on grandchildren writing their grandparent's story! Surprisingly, only two of the 70+ children's books in the Holocaust Series have grandchildren


A BOOK by ME Meets Girl Scout World Thinking Day
BOOK by ME was on the scene at the Girl Scout World Thinking Day in Davenport, Iowa on March 10, 2012. Girl Scouts invited us to set up a booth to teach something about the country of Poland. Since many of our book subjects are from Poland, it was our privilege to share the story of Irena Sendler, a Polish woman who made a difference during WWII! Cassie Bowen is the daughter of Don and Deb Bowen, Creator of A BOOK by ME. She invited her mom to a Yom Hashoah ( Holocaust Remembrance) event ten years ago. She was in Middle School at that time and in High School when A BOOK by ME was born to tell the stories of the Quad Cities three Esthers.
